Lewis Hamilton, the Mercedes driver, has been competing in F1 for several years. He made his debut way back in 2007 and has since, been regularly sparkling his magic. While the sport is currently at a halt because of the ongoing winter break, he has taken the time to shed light on his love-hate relationship with it.

Lewis Hamilton is undoubtedly one of the greatest drivers to have ever stepped foot into F1. He has so far had a legendary career but he feels, there are certain times when he does not like the sport as much as he usually loves it.

While talking about the same with F1, the 39-year-old recently said, as reported by racingnews365:

I never thought that after such a long time in Formula 1, I would still feel the same love for the sport. It is a hate-love relationship, at times you like it more than at other times. I do think there will come a time when you will have enough of it. But love is still there.

Looking at the reaction of Hamilton, his fondness for F1 is quite evident. Despite having become one of the greatest drivers in the sport, he still loves going around various tracks as much as he used to love during his early F1 days.

Lewis Hamilton has high hopes for the Mercedes W15

While Lewis Hamilton has taken the time to talk about his love-hate relationship with F1, he has also been doing his best to encourage and motivate the Mercedes crew to come up with a strong W15 for 2024. It has been two years since the German team was able to produce a championship-worthy car.

The ongoing era of F1 regulations has not proved kind to Mercedes and this is one of the main reasons why the team has struggled. However, the mood in their camp has been upbeat since the appointment of James Allison as the team’s Technical Director.

Moreover, it has also come to light that Allison and Hamilton have been working in tandem to produce the best possible W15 for the upcoming season. There are several questions about Mercedes’s car at the moment, but the answer to some of them, will be given on the 14th of February when they launch their 2024 challenger.
