Buffalo- Norfolk scored 6 runs off Wes Parsons who lasted 4 innings in the loss. The Tides scored a run in the 3rd and 5 runs in the 4th. Hayden Juenger pitched a scored 5th but allowed a solo home run in the 6th, striking out 4 batters over 2.0IP. Matt Wisler was tagged for 4 runs in the 7th, registering one out. Troy Watson relieved Wisler, stranding the one inherited runner. He finished the 7th and returned to pitch a clean 8th inning. Jay Jackson struck out 3 batters in the 9th. Nathan Lukes led the way with 4 hits, all singles, scoring 4 runs. Rafael Lantigua, Damiano Palmegiani, Addison Barger, and Leo Jimenez drove in one run each. Orelvis Martinez finished with two hits, driving in 4 runs. Lantigua hit his 38th double and stole his 27 bases, finishing 3-for-5 with two runs scored.

Cade Doughty finished as the 2023 home run leader for the Championship-winning Vancouver Canadians. Doughty hit 19 doubles and 18 home runs. He drove in 68 runs and scored 61 runs. Cade walked 35 times with 126 strikeouts. He also stole 4 bases while slashing .264/.342/.459.

Devonte Brown surprised me with his power this season. He finished second on the club with 14 long balls. Devonte finished with 14 doubles and a triple, scoring 50 runs and driving in 49 runs. He walked 49 times and struck out 98 times while stealing 18 bases with just one caught stealing. Brown finished with a .240/.357/.445 slash in 83 games. Brown finished the season with 16 games in New Hampshire, adding 4 more home runs.

Garrett Spain and Gabriel Martinez finished 3rd with 12 home runs. Spain’s output was more impressive than Martinez’s. Spain hit 24 doubles vs 14 and 3 triples vs 2 triples. Both outfielders finished with .240-ish batting averages and .300-ish OBP.
